Reverent in heart, relaxed in style.
We’re a small body of Christ that seeks to know God and glorify Him according to Scripture. We take God’s Word seriously and reverently. At the same time, we are relaxed in our style of engagement and clothing. Our services normally last about an hour and fifteen minutes.
The Songs We Sing.
We sing a mixture of tunes from old hymns to newer worship songs. The style is very simple, usually a single musician/singer and maybe a cajon. The truths we sing are more important than the style of the songs we sing. We strive to sing songs that are theologically rich and reinforce the God-centered focus of our existence.
The Sermons we Preach.
Our normal practice is to preach through a book of the Bible. We believe God’s Word is powerful, more powerful than any topic or idea we can generate. Therefore, we seek to say what God is saying through His word.
The Version of the Bible We Use.
There are several good versions of the Bible, and folks within our body certainly use a few different versions. But, we typically study and preach from the ESV.
The Kids we Have.
Children are gifts from the Lord and great responsibilities. We provide childcare for kids up to 5 years of age and welcome children of all ages into our service.
Sunday Lunch.
As part of our striving to spend time together on Sunday, we have lunch each week. Some folks bring lunch while others go get something from their favorite restaurant and bring it back. We throw out some tables, eat, talk, and have a fun Sunday afternoon together.
